Are there any factors that contribute to anxiety attacks? Anxiety disorders can be the most prevalent mental condition in today’s world. All over the world, 284 million people (2017) are affected by the disease. These figures are rising even more all over the world, and they demand urgent attention. Despite the fact that most studies are conducted on adults (those over the age of 18), this condition affects people of all ages.

We all blame it on fatigue, too much work, or other daily events that are overly stressful. Scientists have discovered the following causes of anxiety attacks:

Anxiety disorders are often hereditary because they appear to run in families, so they can be passed on from one’s mother/father to a child or other close relative. The brain’s structure and processes are inherited in their entirety, which may be another explanation why people with chemical imbalances will pass on anxiety disorders and therefore be the source of anxiety attacks. Anxiety symptoms can also be caused by growing up in an abusive household, where the family displayed anxiety and abuse on a regular basis.

Brian’s biochemistry or a chemical imbalance

Serotonin and dopamine are the two main neurotransmitters that influence a person’s mood. Any chemical imbalance can result in anxiety attacks manifested as feelings of sadness or depression.

Mechanism of Fight or Flight

When we sense danger, our bodies prepare to either fight or flee. This is referred to as the fight or flight response. The Amygdala, a part of the brain, is primarily responsible for activating this mechanism. Sometimes the brain misinterprets a message or a situation and interprets it as dangerous when it is not. Anxiety attacks can be triggered by this.

The symptoms are both real and terrifying. As a result, we are convinced that something is wrong, and we become fearful and distrustful. According to scientists, the main cause of panic attacks is a failure to fly or fight.

Along with different drugs, scientists have found that thanks to modern science and technology, it is now possible to prevent these symptoms. All we have to do now is learn to identify these signs and seek medical advice as soon as possible. It, like any other disease or illness, can almost always be successfully handled if caught early enough.

Recognize when the body is showing you the wrong signs by being conscious of it. You should always seek medical advice before relying on your own diagnosis. Your doctor may see or know something that you haven’t considered. Develop your skills and learn some strategies to help you avoid your anxiety attacks in their tracks.
